For skiing, this is one of the best places to stay. The location is the highlight. My room was clean and everything worked. It was a standard room, a good size, and the bed was comfortable, though it took a bit of walking to get there and it faced the back instead of the slopes like most rooms. The staff were friendly everywhere, from reception and the kitchen to the wellness area. The masseuse even gave me a free 20-minute massage, and they arranged an early dinner when I needed to finish before night skiing. The wellness area was great overall, with two outdoor jacuzzis, a very cold plunge pool, and cold showers. The sauna felt a little small for the number of guests, and some days there were too many children. Food was simple, usually well cooked, and there was plenty at breakfast, with frequent refills. The salad buffet was also generous if you arrived early, but some things were gone by the time late diners came. Starters were mostly different pastas. For mains, there were usually two meat dishes and a cold option, a more limited choice than at another hotel I’ve stayed in. Dessert had at least two choices.

It’s a good value hotel. A little old, but clean, and I couldn’t see any mold in the bathroom, which was great. Guests can use the pool, small gym, sauna, and Turkish bath.

A week before we were due to arrive, we were told our reservation had been cancelled because an organized trip had booked the hotel. The hotel can really pull the rug out from under you, so I hope you’re very flexible about taking time off work.

The lobby and terrace are lovely, the bar is cozy, and the bartender was really friendly. The hotel is very close to the ski slopes. Our room was clean, though the bathroom felt a bit dated. We stayed at the end of the ski season, just before the hotel’s yearly closure, and it showed. Breakfast was cut back during the last days, and some drinks weren’t available at the bar.

We looooove Pampeago, and being right next to the ski lifts is the best thing about this hotel. Breakfast was awesome. 🌟 The room felt a little old-fashioned, and there was some mold and a few cobwebs. I love the location, though. The pool was a disappointment: we arrived at 6pm, it closed at 7pm, and the water was really cold. I’d hoped it would stay open until 9pm like at other hotels and be heated.
