Hotel Sant' Anna

Hotel Sant'Anna was in an unbeatable spot, just a stone’s throw from St. Peter's and close to Rome’s historic sights. Stepping into the lively streets each morning made exploring feel exciting. The staff were welcoming at check-in and thoughtful throughout, with local dining and attraction tips and a friendly smile. We had a room for two children and us, and the layout gave everyone their own bed and space. It was spotless and nicely decorated, mixing classic Roman character with modern amenities. The comfortable bed, luxurious linens, well-equipped bathroom, toiletries, stocked minibar, and coffee bar all made it feel relaxing. The breakfast buffet had lots to choose from, including fresh pastries, fruit, savory options, and excellent coffee. We had to leave too early to have breakfast this time, but we’ve had it before and it’s a family favorite. The charming dining area made it a lovely way to start the day. The courtyard was a calm break from the busy city, and the common areas were beautifully kept. Between the location, service, rooms, and facilities, it was an unforgettable stay. I’d wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Sant'Anna and can’t wait to come back.

Sant' Anna Hotel is beautiful, and we loved staying there. Our room was just right, with a modern bathroom and a small balcony. Breakfast is served every morning in a lovely dining area downstairs. Everyone on staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The Vatican is a five-minute walk away, and there are lots of restaurants just a minute or two from the hotel. I highly recommend staying here.

The buffet breakfast seemed quite nice, though basic. We only had a quick one before an early flight. The staff seemed pleasant, but since we stayed just one night, we didn't mention the problems in the room, so perhaps some could have been fixed. The bathroom door wouldn't shut, there was no main light, and it stayed so dim that packing was difficult. The air conditioner only worked when set above 25 degrees. The location is very handy for the Vatican, ridiculously close, with plenty of restaurants, gelato and souvenir shops nearby, including lots of religious stores. It isn't my favorite part of Rome, though, and for the price I'd pick another option next time.

After a long flight, we were grateful that the staff welcomed us and let us check in early. The rooms were clean and comfortable. St. Peter's Square is only two blocks away, and there are lots of good restaurants within walking distance. St. Anne's is a beautiful church for mass, about a two-minute walk away. The best gelato in Rome is right next door. One suggestion: give Nina the dog some publicity!
