The owners were kind and helpful, and we slept wonderfully during our two nights at B&B Palazzo Zironda in Tiene. The building dates from the 16th century, and its charming interiors really do make it feel like stepping back in time. Our room was spacious, with its own sitting area, which was a lovely and unusual touch. The room and bathroom have been tastefully updated with modern comforts while keeping furnishings and style in character with the historic property. Having parking in the courtyard was very convenient. I'd highly recommend this B&B to anyone visiting Tiene, for work or a holiday.

The palazzo's garden has six columns with capitals that once belonged to its barchessa, a building south of the property that dated to the 17th and 18th centuries and no longer exists. Inside, the ground and first floors each have a richly decorated central hall, including a griffin, a mythological creature Angelo Zironda especially loved. The building's present appearance is due to Angelo Zironda, who made it his home. This beautiful 15th-century palace belonged to the Vicenza nobleman Fabio Capra, and ownership later passed from the Thiene family to the Nicolini, Zironda, and finally Saugo families.
