The garden was my favorite part, and it’s worth taking a few minutes to stand there and enjoy it. The museum visit takes at least 30 minutes, longer if you want to linger outside. Inside, every room has ceiling paintings that are beautiful and meaningful, and you can scan a QR code to hear the room explanations. Bring headphones for the audio. The Salis family clearly knew how to spend money on a house, and this museum gives you a look at how nobles lived. In the last room, if you look closely, the purple painting seems to show an evil figure or demon. Really interesting. Staff also told us that some parts of the building are haunted.

There’s beauty and inspiration in every corner of this magnificent museum. The exhibits feel carefully put together, and the atmosphere is welcoming. You can sense how much care for art and history has gone into all the details.

The people selling tickets were so kind and helpful, and shared interesting stories about the palace, the city, and the owners of the palazzo. We stopped here on our way back from a ski vacation. The palace is lovely, and its picturesque garden makes the visit well worth it.

Entry costs 10€. It’s a lovely building with gardens and frescos throughout. The QR code opens a great guide for each room. Bring earphones if you’d rather not play the narration out loud, especially when it’s busy.

The audio guide adds a lot, with plenty of interesting details as you go through the building. Inside, the vibrant frescoes, painted ceilings, and trompe l'oeil are amazing. Then the Italian classic garden comes as a lovely surprise at the end of the tour. Don’t miss this extraordinary palazzo in the heart of Tirano’s historic centre.
