Rooms&Breakfast Tirano

We tried the restaurant for dinner as well and really enjoyed the tasting menu of local dishes, paired with excellent wines. Breakfast there was elegant and included in the B&B price. It's only a few meters along the street. For the stay, we were traveling with another couple and liked having rooms that opened onto a shared balcony for four. Our friends' ensuite had a full-length window looking into the bedroom, but they eventually found the full-length blind. The place is also very convenient for the station and Bernina Express.

Tirano Eco Rooms was a comfortable, peaceful place for a good night's rest, and the location made travel easy, just steps from the train station. The modern design felt fresh and considered, and everything we needed was there. A fantastic stay.

The rooms are in three separate apartment buildings within 50m of each other, so there are options to suit different tastes. Ours was a lovely, recently updated apartment about 200m from the station, with views of the Alps and Tirano. The staff were excellent, and the quaint location is a great base for more adventures. Their own restaurant is recommended for breakfast and meals.

The room is basic and just about okay for one night, but the noise made it the worst sleep ever. You can hear other rooms, and the mechanical systems creaked and made noise all night. Earplugs helped a little. The only thing I liked was how close it is to the train station, and there are other hotels nearby. I'd avoid this and the Terra hotel, which is part of the same group. The front desk guy was extremely rude. At checkout, you have to be buzzed through one entrance to the property and then another into the lobby, which seems pointless in a small, safe town. We were standing outside in pouring rain, and he saw us but ignored us because two people were ahead of him. He could have quickly excused himself and pressed the button to let us in. It would have taken less than 10 seconds. I might have understood if it had been sunny, but this was just plain rude.
