The owner was so helpful, and we both had a great time here. We stayed for three days in a small, family-run hotel less than a 10-minute drive from the center of Merano. Our single room booked for two was compact but very comfortable, with windows across one whole wall and a sweet little balcony facing the mountains. It was all very clean. Breakfast was a highlight too, with plenty of bread, cold cuts, jams, and some spectacular cheeses.

The breakfast was a real treat, especially the fresh fruit salad, and there was plenty of choice among the cold cuts and cheeses. You can also request dinner from the varied menu in the morning. The hotel has just 11 rooms, some renovated, and sits up in the higher part of Dorf Tirol, so getting there involves a bit of a walk. Everything was spotless and well looked after, with fresh towels each day. We found it very good value and would readily recommend it to friends and family. There were lots of guests with dogs while we were there, which could be a plus for some.
