Hotel Garni Hubertus is small and really cozy, especially at night when you can see the lights across Merano. The views from up here are amazing, and breakfast is superb. You can even eat outside by the pool with the town in view. I have no complaints, but be aware that the hotel is high up, so walking up from town can be a challenge.

A nice place, close to downtown but still quiet because it’s a little way up the hill. Recommended.

We were happy with the stay until checkout, when they charged us a 14 eur baby fee for our newborn. We’d called ahead to ask if that was okay, and we hadn’t used an extra baby bed or anything like that. Scandalous.
