Hotel Karin

This family-run hotel is a lovely place to stay in the beautiful village of Tirolo. It’s a handy base for activities around Tirolo and Merano, and you can walk to the village center and bus station. There’s ample guest parking too. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and service at reception and breakfast was excellent. The breakfast buffet was delicious and got the day off to a great start.

We spent a few nights here with our large dog. The owner was friendly as soon as we arrived, and the location is convenient, just minutes from the town center and a good base for outings nearby. Our apartment was spotless, spacious, and comfortable, with a lovely view of Merano from the balcony. It had a separate kitchenette, a roomy living area with a sofa, and a sleeping area with a very comfortable bed. There’s private parking beside the property, plus garden chairs where you can enjoy the cool evening air.

Our group was very happy with our stay at Hotel Karin. The service was especially attentive and friendly, and the owners were just as welcoming. The room was very clean, with a great balcony view over the valley towards Merano. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, including muesli, cheese, Tyrolean ham, fruit salad, and more. The bus stop for Merano is a 10-minute walk away. We recommend it 100%.

We’ve been visiting Dorf Tirol for years, but only tried Hotel Karin for the first time this trip. We loved our apartment, which had just been renovated and was cozy and comfortable, and the hotel completely won us over. We’ve already booked again for next fall. Breakfast is delicious, and in the afternoon you can get drinks and sit inside or outside. There’s also a fridge in the entrance area where you can take drinks and leave a note for billing.
