We had such a lovely stay at Hotel Sonne. It’s in a perfect location and is run with so much care. They looked after every need, and we’d highly recommend it. 👌🏼

After eating at several restaurants during our few days in Dorf Tirol, we found them all good, but Restaurant Sonne was on another level. Every dish we tried was spot on, and there were quite a few different ones on the table. The service was absolutely perfect, with all the staff friendly and attentive. We’ve found a new favorite restaurant in Dorf Tirol 😄 Mitt Güzel (Deutschland)

We were in Dorf Tirol from October 7th to 12th during peak season, and finding a restaurant was a bit of a challenge since we didn’t know the area. Hotel Sonne made the strongest impression in the village, with its covered terrace and menu, and it lived up to it. The menu had an interesting range, from beef tartare and hearty “rustic” tomato soup to fish, pasta, and the ever-present Wiener Schnitzel. We spent our first evening on the terrace, enjoying excellent food and an incredible view over the Merano Valley and the mountains opposite. We booked again for our anniversary the next day. They had set a lovely table with flowers and a small gift, a really thoughtful touch. The service was superb and the food excellent. We had a wonderful anniversary dinner, and appreciated the warm welcome each day of our short stay.

We’ve been coming to South Tyrol for years, and the SONNE is always a pleasure to eat at. The food is delicious, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the location is great. We’ll be back plenty more times.
