After a seven-hour drive, we arrived exhausted and found that our reservation for a triple room, booked by phone, wasn’t there, even though I’d paid two thirds by bank transfer after sending it by text. The woman said there were no rooms left, then offered two double rooms and asked if that would be okay. I checked with my friends and they agreed, so all three of us thought we’d be given two rooms. She asked us to work out the remaining payment ourselves, which was ridiculous, then handed over just one key and said goodbye. We were so tired we didn’t understand the one key until we opened the room: it was one double room with a double bed for the three of us. It took me hours to realize she’d not only lost our reservation, but given us an unworkable solution at the full rate. We’d paid an absurd €140 per night for a 2-star hotel without breakfast. She then disappeared for three days, so there was no way to speak to her or complain. And the state of the room was another issue...

It’s in a very quiet spot, while still being close to the thermal baths and public transport. In just a few minutes, you can take the transport to Tivoli's villas and Hadrian's Villa. The hotel has recently been renovated with remarkable attention to detail. I highly recommend it.
