Residenza Izzalini

The manager really made our stay special, looking after us so thoughtfully and going out of the way to help. We loved the Castella and the area around it. Getting to meet local people, feel so welcome, and soak up Umbria's culture was amazing. An absolute treasure 🙏

Izzalini has plenty to see and do nearby, and the views are stunning. The resort itself feels unique, with very comfortable rooms. Gianna is a wonderful hostess, and the local Kairos Cafe has loads of character, good food, easygoing atmosphere, and excellent service.

Mrs. Gianna was lovely and helpful, and we felt very well looked after. The units were clean, comfortable, and well equipped, and we had no complaints about our stay itself. One unusual thing was the posted price list for dishes and furniture in case anything is broken or scratched. It made clear the owners expect guests to be very careful, perhaps because they have had bad experiences before. Still, this is a peaceful spot in Umbria, with Assisi, Todi, and Perugia all about an hour away for day trips. All in all, a lovely place to stay.

At the bottom of the hill there's a fantastic coffee shop and restaurant, where we got the most genuine feel for Italian life of anywhere on our trip. The hideaway itself is beautiful, tucked into the hills of Umbria in central Italy. I'd love to come back to this same place.
