Arbatax Park RES-Ville Del Parco by Falkensteiner

We spent ten days here and all five of us loved the holiday. The pools and surroundings were lovely, the staff were friendly, and there were lots of activities for the kids. I had been nervous after reading the comments beforehand, and some of the concerns were fair. The rooms could have been cleaner, parts of the resort need renovation, and anyone expecting a luxury hotel will be disappointed. Even so, we had a wonderful time. Our three kids, aged 7 and 5, loved it too.

We stayed at Arbatax Park from July 10th to 17th, and it badly affected our family holiday. I wouldn't recommend it at the price we paid. The resort needs renovation and better management, and there were safety hazards in the common areas. Breakfast was poor every morning, and the dining tables and chairs were dirty. We also had a power cut and a water shortage. The closest pool to the sea was off limits to us, with no clear signs or information explaining access. That left us feeling humiliated. Our room key was unreliable and often difficult to use. The rooms weren't what the website had led us to expect. We had paid a lot for two connected rooms for our family of four, but the website gave a very different impression of the resort. The air conditioning, just a meter from the bed, was so noisy it kept us from sleeping throughout the stay. There was no thermostat to adjust it, either. The rooms also lacked glasses, a phone guide, TV instructions, and Wi-Fi. Housekeeping didn't replace the soap, even after we asked. After three days of reminders, I went to reception myself to get some. More than half the employees seemed to have trouble communicating in English, and while a few staff were genuinely helpful, many came across as uninformed. Politeness and professionalism were lacking, and training alone may not fix that. Overall, the service and accommodation fell far below what I expected from a place presented as four-star.

We loved the location enough that we might have considered coming back, even though our 2022 stay left us disappointed. The food was okay if you aren't fussy, and the room was acceptable if you don't expect luxury. The furniture was old, and the room photos didn't match what we found. Online services weren't working well either. Staff were dismissive, making promises without following through, so we tried to avoid dealing with them as much as we could. The setting itself was beautiful. Then in 2023, we booked online using a good offer, but the hotel staff cancelled it, saying the price was wrong because of a system bug and the system had cancelled the reservation automatically. We won't be going back.

The sea and the location were wonderful. Breakfast had very little variety, and the rooms and furniture felt quite old. The place isn't set up well for people with reduced mobility.
