Calling it the House in the Woods doesn't quite fit. It feels more like "The Woods in the House," a mystical place with mosquitoes all around. Before you book, I'd suggest looking up more detailed reviews, since the property used to be called "Le dieci querce casa di campagna." Just search online. The name is the only thing that's changed, not "l'attacco selvaggio."

The restaurant food is excellent, breakfast is adequate, and the owners are very kind and hospitable. The place itself has a lot of potential, with a charming natural setting on a large estate. It's a shame the accommodations and furnishings feel somewhat dated and neglected. General maintenance is poor.
