Hotel La Sirenetta

This was our first trip to Italy, and I spent ages looking at hotels around here before settling on this one. We kept coming back to it, and the location turned out to be perfect, just a few minutes' walk from the train station. The room was spacious and comfortable, the hotel was spotlessly clean, and the air conditioning worked beautifully. Breakfast was delicious every morning, and the girls serving it were so attentive. We arrived shortly before the season began, while they were still getting the beach area ready, but everything we needed was already there. The beach was kept in wonderful shape. Then, on our departure day, with 90 minutes until our train, I got an email in Italian saying there was a train strike. The family read it, called the station, and sorted everything out for us. We'll always be grateful to Giuliano and his sister, Paola, Niccolo, Francesco, Yumi, and all the staff. My great-grandparents and grandfather came from this town, and seeing it for myself had been a dream. This family made us feel at home. God willing, we'll come back someday. Alla prossima!
