The host was lovely and quick to respond on WhatsApp, and was happy to answer questions about the apartment and area. The apartment, garden, and pool were all well kept. The church bell is very loud, though you do get used to it. We had a modern Italian apartment with a large balcony that was peaceful for breakfast and dinner. The view was breathtaking and never boring, but despite the listing, you can't see the lake or the swimming pool. It takes well over 10 minutes by car to reach the main road, so a trip to spend the day by the lake means at least 15 minutes on the road. Walking there takes even longer, with a steep climb. There's only Italian TV and no WiFi, so you have to rely on your own data plan. Internet coverage in the mountains isn't always stable.

The drive to the lake is the main drawback. It may look close on a map, but getting there means a long detour, and driving anywhere involves taking a narrow one-lane road down toward the lake. The apartment itself is small and suits a family of four who enjoy having a pool. The photos make the setting look lovely. The bigger problem was the management. Several people seemed to be involved, with no one coordinating or keeping track of things, so reliability was basically nonexistent. The dishwasher and light both stopped working almost immediately. Once the dishwasher was fixed, it started leaking water 😳. With competent management, I think the place could still be worth recommending.

The pool is kept in great shape, and the facility is lovely. There’s a partial view of the lake, and I didn’t really miss the TV channels that weren’t available.
