Torre Artale Hotel & Residence

Enzo took great care of us at the restaurant, which was amazing. The hotel is well placed between Palermo and Cefalù, about a 30-minute drive from each. There are nice facilities too, including tennis, beach volleyball, and an Olympic-sized pool that was quieter during the week.

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and everything was very clean and peaceful. We had a wonderful stay, with great food and an amazing view. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

The room service and cleaning were good, and the setting would work well for a wedding, but the room itself was tiny. The bed was noisy and uncomfortable. Food was the biggest letdown. The breakfast buffet felt far below what I'd expect from a four-star hotel, and dinner was much the same. The cappuccino was awful, the ham and cheese were low quality, and the scrambled eggs were the worst part. We paid 30 euros per person for dinner, and the food wasn't good. They said wine was included and had it on the buffet, but then charged us another 5 euros per glass. We also had to walk quite a way outside the hotel to get to the pool, which made it seem as if it belonged somewhere else. I wouldn't recommend staying here, though if it's your only option, make the best of it.

We hired a car to explore the area, and the free car park had plenty of room. The grounds, pool, and scenery are lovely, and the staff are warmhearted and incredibly helpful. It's a traditional building, so don't expect every modern convenience. Getting around may be difficult for some, but to me this place is a real gem.
