We left before our stay was over. The entrance is very steep and narrow. My 7.2 m van scraped underneath, and another camper had the same problem the day before. They only take cash. The internet was supposedly down, so there was no WiFi, although both of my providers worked fine. It made me wonder about the reason, but I can’t say for sure. The campsite was expensive, and showers cost extra. The owner said there was a free cold shower. Stray dogs roam around here and sometimes come into the site at night or during the day. They also make it hard to walk your own dog outside because they travel in a pack. Our 9-month-old Rhodesian Ridgeback was described by the owner as a huge, vicious Great Dane that left mess everywhere. We always clean up after our dog. The restaurant was closed except for our first night, when it opened for a fee. At least the food was decent. Bus tickets to the local town were sold for a price; dogs can ride without a ticket, but the owner sold us one for our dog anyway. After I left an honest review on another site about our March 25 stay, the owner misrepresented it, as he seems to do with other poor reviews. I can confirm we were there, and have photos, including of my supposedly savage dog. Looking back at the bad reviews and the owner’s responses, it seems he tries to rubbish them. With a bit more consideration this site could be a gem, but for the price I’d look elsewhere.

We arrived without a booking, just sent a message about two hours ahead, and were able to stay for as long as we wanted. We spent 10 days here and really enjoyed both the place and the service.

We booked by WhatsApp while already on our way to the coast. Antonio was really helpful, giving us maps, information, and bus tickets for the easy trip down to the coast each day. The tickets were 2.50 euro each way. There’s also a mini mart nearby for basics, and drinking water and power are provided. We stayed four nights in our van. The back doors opened onto the mountains, and every night we watched the moon come up over the ridges. It’s a quiet little spot, great value when we visited in September at 26 euro a night. A welcome break from the busy coastal towns once you’ve had enough of the crowds. We’ll be back!

Finding this place was such a relief after struggling to drive around the busy coast in our rented van. It’s peaceful up in the mountains, and the evenings are lovely and cool in summer. There’s a small grocery store just a two-minute walk away, with everything we needed. Antonio explained how to reach the coastal towns and villages by bus, and had tickets ready to buy. We had dinner here one night and really liked it. There’s fresh water for filling your tank, places to empty grey and black water, plus showers and toilets.
