The location was convenient for the old city, its attractions, and restaurants, and the stay was very good overall. Both rooms were spacious and clean, with comfortable beds, good bathrooms, storage space, reliable Wi-Fi, and effective air conditioning. Breakfast was adequate and the accommodation was excellent value, though the food options seemed random and there was no choice. Parking on site depended on whether other residents had taken the limited spaces, and the second room didn’t have a kettle for coffee. The owners were lovely, but I’d have preferred a little privacy while we ate rather than having them watch us at breakfast. I’d recommend the place.

The host was really friendly and sweet, and the location was great. Breakfast was simple, though it leaned too heavily on sweets. It was extremely windy while we were there, around 58 km/h, so we couldn’t enjoy the beach. We went to Erice instead, and it was amazing even with all that wind.

We had a pleasant stay and walked to all the sights. We left the car in the lot across the street, where parking cost 0,10€ an hour. The room was nice, but it didn’t have its own bathroom or shower, which hadn’t been clear to us when we booked. To get to the bathroom, we had to leave the room and cross the shared area. Since we get up early, it wasn’t much trouble, but be aware that some rooms don’t have a bathroom.

We ended up paying 30 euros because they said they wouldn’t let us leave otherwise and would call the police. It was a really bad experience. We booked what the listing called a “Deluxe room with Queen bed and Private bathroom,” but when we arrived, the bathroom was in the corridor by the kitchen, outside the room. The booking page never mentioned an external bathroom, though several places on the site said “private bathroom.” The confirmation email did mention it in small, easy-to-miss writing, but who checks that after the reservation page clearly promises a private bathroom? To me, this was a booking scam. The description isn’t accurate, and that kind of arrangement isn’t acceptable these days, especially at the prices they ask.
