Casa Movida

At €140 a night, this place was awful. The building is old, the entrance hall is run-down, and the neighborhood is busy. We were four people on the first floor, and the whole apartment smelled musty and smoky. The double bedroom was musty and dirty too. There was a camp bed in the kitchen, but no airflow. The owner pointed out a window, which opened onto a tiny, airless landing. The pillow, mattress, and worn sheets all smelled musty, so nobody could sleep there. Another bed was in a room with no windows, and water bottles were left underneath it. It didn't look as if the floor had even been swept. The bathroom was dirty: a used mat, dark hair in the shower, and a mirror and shelf covered in splashes. I had to clean them myself. The kitchen table was dirty as well. The air conditioner sat right above the bed, so it was freezing. Avoid this place.

The owners were friendly and helpful, and the place had everything I needed. I paid less than I would have at similar places nearby, and it felt worth every penny. I only stayed one night, but I'd happily return. Highly recommend it.
