Cielomare

Alessandra was a huge help while arranging our holiday. The apartment was clean and a great size, with a very comfortable bed and a stunning view of the bay. Cielomare is brilliantly placed for getting into the town centre for great food and culture. I'd happily recommend it 😍

The place has potential because it's so close to the beach, but our stay was a complete letdown. Alessandra had booked all the rooms, yet there was no running water. She made condescending remarks when we arrived and wouldn't help with the inoperable A/C or the lack of parking. When I asked about my unit, she never replied. It wasn't hygienic, friendly, or accommodating, and it felt like a SCAM after what was advertised on Airbnb & Google. We had to book another hotel for the rest of our time in Trapani. Glad we left early.

The apartments have been restored from the original fishermen houses, and the view is extraordinary. We really loved our stay at Alessandra's, in what felt like the best location in Trapani's gulf. Breakfast options are now included at a beautiful risto nearby, with international options.

The balcony was beautiful, but the problems during our week there were hard to ignore. We were four guys in one apartment, and the whole experience left me warning others before booking. Italy and Trapani are great, but Alessandria should find another job. When we arrived late at night, we couldn't open the door at first because we'd been given the wrong key. We called Alessandria, who seemed doubtful there was a problem but came over with the right key. After more struggling, we got inside, only to find the door wouldn't lock. She said to just close it because Trapani was safe, and promised to fix it the next day. Then she said the washing lady had no trouble locking it, so we must be the problem. After we complained again and asked her to inspect it, she finally admitted the lock was faulty, but seemed to blame us for breaking it even though it hadn't worked from the start. She said she'd arrange a repair during the week, but it wouldn't happen while we were there because locks weren't in stock. The room itself was okay, but it wasn't ready for four people when we arrived. Alessandria blamed the washing lady and let us use an extra room for one night, then offered to rent us both rooms at extra cost. We said no, we only needed the one we had booked and paid for. Some bathroom bits were broken, supposedly by previous guests: there was no toilet paper holder and no tip on the bide. The shower was badly clogged. None of this got fixed during our stay. The cleaning lady came once, we asked for extra sheets and didn't get them, and we had just one roll of toilet paper for the whole week. On departure day, she said other guests had complained about us being loud and asked for 350€ to repair a table on the balcony and the door. We'd had an accident that broke the table, apologized, and said we'd have no problem paying for that. We calmly said we wouldn't pay for the door since we hadn't broken it. She accepted that without arguing, which felt odd. We'd also spoken with other guests who had similar problems.
