We had a beautiful, cozy room looking out over the hills, and the atmosphere felt warm and authentic. Riccardo was a fantastic host who paid attention to every detail. The wine was exceptional too. A great stay in Barbaresco from beginning to end, highly recommended.

I first came here 20 years ago, when Giovanna and Italo had just opened it as a Bed and Breakfast. I’ve stayed six times now, and the place was exceptional then and still is. Their “boys” are grown up and now run both the accommodation and winemaking. Riccardo handles the guest side, while he and Davide are in charge of the wine. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the price is a steal. Still, it’s the warm, knowledgeable hosts who make the place special. Riccardo’s enthusiasm for their wines, for Piemonte, and for its hills, soil, and vines is infectious. You really do feel the spirit of Piemonte everywhere here. He knows the restaurants, owners, and chefs nearby, and steers you toward local highlights rather than the Trip Advisor picks. Their wines are exceptional and made in small quantities, and staying here includes a free tasting that’s both generous and very informative.

You’ll want a car to explore from this lovely spot in the heart of wine country. It’s a good base, with town and other activities about a 15 minute drive away. Our room was spacious and quiet, and there’s parking and a small courtyard.

The location is great, the hosts are lovely, and the rooms are a real bargain for the price. We also got a free wine tasting. And the rooms have a proper espresso maker, not one of those bad capsule things. We had a wonderful time!
