La Darsena Boutique Hotel & Restaurant

The view is nice, but that's about the only good part of our dinner here. It was the worst value for money we've had in the whole region. The dishes didn't match their menu descriptions: the fish tartare arrived as a plain boiled fish burger. What we were served was poor quality too. The scallops were badly overcooked, the sauces bland, and the fish dry. You can eat better at local bars, and the staff weren't hospitable.

The guests were lovely too, and the people working here were so warm, open, and funny. We’re just here for the restaurant, but it’s been amazing. Such a lovely feeling of Italian hospitality. We love it 🩷 thank you!

Getting around Lake Como was so easy from La Darsena, with the ferry and bus stops right nearby. We loved the family run, homey feel, and breakfast each morning was a highlight. Make sure to have dinner at the restaurant, it’s fantastic. We also took the ferry to Varenna and then Bellagio for the day, one of our favorite experiences. Thanks to the team for such a memorable stay!

The mattress had a huge dip and was one of the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept on. Then the dessert took ages, and the waiter said it was being made by hand. When it arrived, it looked like male genitalia. I tried uploading a photo, but it kept getting rejected, probably because it was so vulgar. What creepy, trashy behavior.
