House of Trento - NO Reception

The location is excellent, especially if you arrive in Trento by train, and the cathedral square is only a five-minute walk away. We also appreciated being able to leave our luggage after checkout. The room was very nice, fully equipped with nothing missing, and cleaner than we expected. My girlfriend and I spent a weekend here. We didn’t meet the owners, but they seemed like wonderful people during our quick phone call. I highly recommend staying here if you get the chance. A well-deserved five stars.

The property is new and clean, and phone support was good, though checking in wasn’t easy. The room felt very basic, with no welcome, not even the usual bottle of water. What bothered me most was that I couldn’t open the windows because a shop downstairs had a pipe releasing cooking fumes near the window. On arrival, I was also given what felt like a threat that my room would be locked if I didn’t pay the tourist tax immediately, even though that’s usually paid at checkout. The host insisted on the payment so much that it annoyed me, especially after the argument that followed. She said someone else hadn’t paid her the amount due, which was supposed to justify it. Absurd.

The owners were very communicative, and the location is central. The room was comfortable, quiet, and clean, with a private bathroom that was very clean too. There’s no parking or disabled access, unfortunately. The food court is sparse, as mentioned, so for breakfast it’s better to go to a bar.

The room was peaceful, the bed very comfortable, and everything was extremely clean. The furnishings and space felt practically new, and the host was very friendly in person. I also appreciated finding water, juice, and coffee in the kitchen, especially after arriving and first thing in the morning. The downside was digital check-in. It was cumbersome, since the date fields only worked like a calendar, so entering my birth date meant pressing back dozens of times.
