Agriturismo Monte dell'Olmo

We went for lunch, drawn by the greenery and the horses, which are gorgeous and clearly very well cared for. I hope this review comes across positively, because I think the place has a lot of potential. On arrival, though, we were confused: there was no sign for the restaurant, and the large dining room felt very bare and simply furnished. The staff were very friendly, but seemed unprepared for so many guests, so service was slow and inattentive. The appetizer and meat were decent, but not memorable. The fettuccine with white ragù was excellent, though the portion was small. Prices were average, and I would have liked to see more focus on local products, which seemed to be missing. We walked around afterward and found things a bit messy and run-down. With some care and maintenance, this could become a real landmark. I truly hope they renovate.

The food was excellent, all homemade, and the owners were kind and welcoming. It’s an enchanting place. We’ve been several times and will come again, both on our own and with friends.

The cabins are simple and charming but functional, and the staff are extremely friendly. It’s a heavenly place, with lush nature, all kinds of animals in their natural habitat, and an excellent restaurant serving its own produce. We had a relaxing time: there’s a pool, swings for children, lots of animals, and a warm welcome. You sleep wonderfully in the cool air and eat very well. Highly recommended.

The service was prompt and they were available for every request, while the owners were always discreet. Rooms were good, and the kitchen adequately equipped; our apartment had a two-burner electric stove. The place may feel a bit out of the way, but its natural beauty would make it a five-star location. As we told the owner, the room lighting could be better and the windows need mosquito nets. Otherwise, everything was fine. It’s a good spot if you have well-behaved dogs, though there are quite a few farm cats. A positive stay overall!
