The building has a lot of character, with high ceilings, huge rooms and big windows, and the location is very central on the station side. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the train station, which is around 30 minutes from the airport. My room was a huge taupe corner room, with a separate living area and sofa bed, plus a kitchenette by the entrance with a sink. The kitchenette had two coffee pods, two bottles of water in the fridge, one sparkling and one still, a kettle, microwave, herbal tea and all sorts of utensils. The bathroom had what I needed, including soap, towels that smelled luxurious and even a nail file. The bed was really comfortable, with four pillows, tables and chairs. I could have used a full-length mirror. It’s a large apartment divided into four or five separate units, so there’s no reception. Most rooms have an ensuite bathroom. One has a private bathroom in the corridor, with both a bath and a shower. I first got that room after a misunderstanding with the cleaning lady, then was assigned the corner room. The hosts were kind and communicative. I couldn’t really hear people in the other rooms, though at least one was occupied. I could hear voices in the corridor when I arrived, and having a second room as a buffer may have helped. The one real downside was the creaky original parquet floor. If two or more people are staying and someone gets up to use the loo at night, everyone will wake up. I’d recommend it if you want a historic building in a central spot. Look elsewhere if you’ll arrive late at night, are in a rush, or need things to be very flexible.

Luca, the manager, was really kind and helpful. The street itself wasn’t noisy, and the apartment had very good soundproofing. We had a great three-night stay at Crops City Stay. It was clean, comfortable and newly renovated, with a well-furnished kitchen, coffee machine, fridge, plates and glasses. Highly recommended!

The place has no sign outside, so at first I wasn’t sure I’d found the right property. You also need a WhatsApp account, since all the communication is by text. I stayed in the grey room, which was spacious and very nice, with its bathroom inside the room. The green room’s bathroom is across the hallway, which would be quite inconvenient.

Parking on the street can be tricky, though there’s public parking beside the cruise ship harbor about 300 metres away. The apartment was clean and spacious, and the host or owner greeted us in person. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. Thanks again for hosting us! We had the largest suite. As others have mentioned, the rooms are part of one huge apartment, and you share a long corridor with the other occupants. We had no bad experience with noise from them. Each suite locks with its own key, and cameras are in use, so we felt safe. The room had the basics we needed, and the bathroom was brand new and properly done. We’ve stayed in lots of hotels and Airbnbs in Trieste, and this was the most spacious one, nicely furnished and properly renovated, right in the heart of the city center. I’d definitely recommend it.
