The staff were exceptional, very kind, and a pleasure to interact with every day. Breakfast wasn’t included, but it didn’t cost too much for what you got, including the service. I’m not a sweets person, and I... The location is a bit out of the way, though if it’s your first time in trieste and you’re exploring, it isn’t bad. We found hidden gems we wouldn’t normally have known about. The rooms were decently clean, but could have been better. They meet minimum expectations for a 3-star place at best, not a 4-star hotel. There are no mosquito nets on the windows. For two nights with breakfast both days, the price felt high for what we got. We could have stayed at the double tree for the same price.

The people who run Hotel Le Corderie made our stay: everyone was friendly, open to chatting, and always ready to help. That human touch matters most. I stayed there with a colleague for more than 2 months, which gave us plenty of time to get to know the place. It feels homey and cozy, with an intimate, pleasant interior. Each day started with a lovely breakfast, prepared with care and even a bit of artistry. You could see the thought and the wish for guests to have a good day in the little details. We’d definitely like to return, and if you’re planning a visit to Trieste, this place is the best choice.

Breakfast was great, but the stay overall wasn’t worth the money. The room was clean, though small, and the bathroom badly needs updating. The toilet was broken in the first room we got, then the shower was broken in the second. We also parked in the garage, where the drain grating damaged our car. We were disappointed.

The staff are wonderful and deserve 5 stars, and the lobby is very nice. But this place is only OK for a day or two, and I don’t agree with the 4-star rating. The rooms were clean, but the air conditioning sounded like a tractor, and something about them felt off, though I can’t say what. The location is OK, but it’s up a hill, so be prepared for that.
