Piazza Grande City Residence

The place looks just like the photos, and the location and price were both great. The management team was very kind and let us leave our luggage before and after the stay. The AC broke, though, and we didn’t get a reply until the next day. That was the one time I wished for hotel-style service, although I understand this is a B&B. Still, I’d recommend it any day.

We spent 10 days in two apartments on the same floor of the Piazza Grande while visiting relatives, with my wife and our two teenagers. Each was only 30sqm, but had a double bed, a modern bathroom and kitchen, a floor-standing aircon unit that worked pretty well, and decent crockery and cutlery. Having a lift was handy with four large suitcases. Igor was a brilliant host, usually in the office next door and always happy to help. You’re right in the citte vecchia, close to cafes, bars, a brilliant birreria, and restaurants, yet the street is quiet and the windows are double glazed. It was really good value. The morning light does get in, so darker blinds or shutters would help. Four stars from me.

I paid cash when checking in, but the charge went onto my card as well. My attempts to contact them have been ignored. I regret staying here and would tell others to be careful about being charged twice.

The apartments are lovely and furnished really well, right in the heart of the city near restaurants, nightlife, and everything else. I’ll definitely come back.
