It felt like staying with a chic Italian friend for a few days, with a stylish, personal atmosphere instead of the usual generic feel. The whole place has a real sense of class, and there's a shared living room full of books and artifacts. The owner greeted me warmly and was friendly and down to earth, almost like an old friend. Such a gem. Highly recommended!

What a great find. The apartments are faultless in their design and decor, and I had one of the best night's sleep I've ever had. Kata and Manuele were wonderful hosts, happy to help with anything. I'll definitely come back.

We arrived a day before our booking, after I mistakenly reserved the room for two days later. I understand the hotel was full, but I asked for a refund because it was an honest mistake made 24 hours ahead. The manager refused and kept the payment, even though I offered to come back and stay next summer. She could resell the room since we couldn’t use it. Booking.com was frustrating to use and the only way to book. I know they can approve refunds without a cancellation fee, and airlines in the US often have to refund even nonrefundable tickets within 24 hours. There was no understanding or decent customer service here.

Manuel and the team were really friendly and helpful. The place is a great stay, and its central spot in Trieste is superb.

Our trip was thrown into chaos when they canceled the room we’d booked months ahead, without explaining why. When I called, they said work was being done on the room and they didn’t know when it would be ready. Yet the website showed it booked on every other date. It’s a busy concert night in Trieste, so maybe they got a better offer or double booked us. We have a 9-month-old baby and now can’t find another place to stay.
