Travelling Home

A few small things turned out to matter, especially when we couldn't warm the kids' milk. The kitchen had no kettle or microwave, and the hob couldn't be used because the electric igniter wasn't working and had run out of power. It's an old building, so the stairs and elevator are very narrow. The windows face the interior stairwell, which means there's not much ventilation.

One star is already too generous. The stairwell smelled so musty it was hard to breathe, and the apartment windows only open onto those stairs. If you have claustrophobia, stay away.

The location is excellent, close to the city center, but the space felt too small and wasn't clean. Opening the windows wasn't a real way to air it out: there were smells from the area they opened onto, and it seemed easy for anyone to walk in.

The apartment is small, but it worked really well as a base for exploring the city. It was clean, and the organization was excellent. The location, halfway between the station and the center, was especially convenient. Highly recommended!
