The rooms are on the small side, but clean and worth the price. It's a hotel, after all, and mostly a place to sleep. Breakfast was simple but tasty, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Parking around the corner was 10€ a day. Because of COVID, staff served guests from the buffet instead of letting people serve themselves, which seemed like a good way to follow hygiene rules.

I was impressed by the service and breakfast, both were really excellent. The rooms aren't large, but they're not absurdly tiny like in many Italian city-center hotels. Downtown is an easy walk away. If I return to Trieste, I'd probably choose to stay here again.

The staff were the best part. Everyone we dealt with was very friendly, offered useful dinner advice, and seemed happy to help. Breakfast was included and definitely above average by Italian standards. I booked mainly for the location and price, expecting an old-fashioned, dusty, run-down hotel based on the red bed throws in the online photos. Instead, I found a neat, tidy place with fairly spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and well-appointed bathrooms. Some furniture was older, but everything was clean and looked well cared for. I'd return and recommend it to anyone looking for a 3-star hotel.

Dario helped me park briefly in front of the hotel, then showed me the garage and suggested restaurants and local attractions. Thanks to him for that, and to the very polite, helpful woman in the breakfast room. The hotel is right in the heart of Trieste, with comfortable, clean, quiet rooms and a good breakfast.
