The place was a little hard to find, but communication with the host was good. She’s a very welcoming Greek host and happy to share what she knows about the city, along with excellent coffee. It’s a small apartment with three rooms on the fifth floor of an anonymous block near the centre of Trieste. The rooms have traditional furnishings, with a shared bathroom and kitchen. On-street parking for motorcycles seemed safe.

Silvana, the Greek host, was warm and friendly. She wanted to show me a good walking route around Trieste and made me a Hausbrandt coffee in the morning, which felt fitting in this city of coffee. The apartment is clean and tidy, with a shared kitchen and bathroom, on the fifth floor of an anonymous block in central Trieste. It takes a bit of finding, and there was safe on-street motorcycle parking outside. The windows have shutters, but it’s the city centre in Italy, so expect a noisy night.

The host was so warm, and the room was extremely clean. There was even air conditioning, which is rare in Europe and handy for that one random heat wave that comes along. The place is in the city area, close to the bus station, so it’s very convenient. Thank you.
