Giuseppe is a warm, cheerful host who knows his city well and speaks French as well as Italian. His apartment is nicely decorated, fully equipped for a traveler, and right in the historic center near the main square. We were walking the Via Francigena Normanna from Palermo, and his thoughtfulness made a big difference. He picked us up so we didn't have to walk up through town, then waited while we shopped at a supermarket. He also gave us cooking oil and laundry soap. When we heard the Robert Cappa museum was closed, he checked whether it was open and showed us historical records and photos from pilgrimages he'd joined. It's hard to find a more helpful host. Stay here, you won't regret it.

The flat is comfortable, fully furnished, and well placed in the historic Jewish quarter of this lovely Norman borgo. The views are breathtaking, and it's a great base for exploring Troina and the surrounding area. Giuseppe welcomed us with real Sicilian warmth and shared plenty of suggestions for traditional local places to eat. If you're exploring this part of Sicily, ask him for advice.

Sorry this review is late. I had a delightful fortnight in Giuseppe's very comfortable place during my walk along the Via Francigena. He's kind and passionate about hiking, so he was a perfect match for me. He recommended a nearby restaurant that I really enjoyed, and even let me try his homemade limoncello. Troina is an astonishing village, and my fond memories of the visit are thanks to Giuseppe. All the best!

The mountain views and beautiful setting make this a lovely place for a quiet break in nature, away from noise and stress. The old streets are wonderful too, and it's easy to imagine having a romantic, relaxing holiday here. The owner, Joseph, and his wife are generous and kind, and the service is excellent. There are activities like horse riding, hiking, and camping to help you plan your stay.
