Residenza Magnolia

The location was good, the rooms were nice and very clean, the coffee was great, and breakfast was totally fine. Still, we were glad to leave. We stayed at Residenza Magnolia for a few days, but the atmosphere was unpleasant. The owner (?) didn’t speak even basic English, so we had to rely on Google Translate. Because of a technical issue, our booking showed a double bed instead of the single beds we wanted. Our request to change rooms wasn’t handled well, and nobody told us the beds would be changed later than agreed. That left things tense between us and the owner. In the end, he even accused us of “playing Tetris on his walls,” which was ridiculous. We offered to pay for the small marks that may have come from shoes or suitcases, but his reaction was very emotional and a little aggressive.

A charming little hotel in a good location. The owners are warm with guests and take care over all the small details.

I really wouldn’t recommend this hostel. The rooms aren’t nice, and the owners are so rude. I can’t understand why the rating is so high.

The rooms have been nicely renovated and have air conditioning. We asked for a continental breakfast and got one; the sweet pastries were freshly made. The location is excellent.
