Bed & Breakfast Villa Sensi

We stayed at the villa for a few nights after my girlfriend and I came to Tuscany for a wedding, and it was a wonderful, memorable visit. Sitting on our balcony in the evenings with a glass of wine, looking at the lake and enjoying the calm of the region, was lovely. Our room faced the lake, and the villa itself is incredible. Breakfast was excellent, everything served was delicious. Paolo was so friendly and went out of his way to make us feel at home. He helped us plan places to visit by drawing maps, and his hospitality made us fall in love with Tuscany. We were sad to leave and are already planning to return. One tip: you'll need a car unless you enjoy hiking up long hills. And if you'd like to bring Paolo a small gift, bring some ice wine. We have plenty in Canada, so I'll bring some when Agata and I come back and we can have a drink. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay. Ciao.

The location is beautiful, with outstanding views, and works well for visiting Tuscany and Umbria. The hosts were warm and friendly, and breakfast was very good. They can be a little chatty, though, and should know when guests want to carry on with their own plans. The room was probably one of the worst ones. The sheets were clean and it was cleaned daily, but the shower leaked water everywhere and the fixtures need updating. Being beside the main staircase also meant sounds carried loudly. The pool was lovely for a refreshing swim, but bird droppings were all over it, so it needed daily cleaning. The water was very cold, even for us Canadians; a solar water heater might help. The road to the property is narrow and steep, with huge potholes that should be fixed to make the drive less intimidating. My husband and I would still recommend the place for its beautiful setting.

The people at the B&B were so friendly, and our room was clean and spacious, with beautiful views. Breakfast is served at a convenient time, around 8:45. With a car, it's a perfect base for exploring the lake and nearby towns. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the Lake Trasimeno area.

Paulo was a warm, gracious host, full of stories and very friendly. The rooms are simple, but clean and spacious. The place is tucked into a cool forest, with a wonderful lake view.
