2024-06-01 Inside, it felt like I'd stepped somewhere completely separate from the city. Incredible. Thanks to Open House Turin, I got the chance to see this beautiful piece of architecture. It's a residential project, so the public normally can't go in, but the yearly ‘Open house’ event opens up some great architecture in cities including Turin. If you're nearby, in town, or even coming from another country like I did, check the website. There are places to visit not just in Italy but around the globe. You can check the date at https://www.openhousetorino.it. Thanks to whoever organized this thoughtful event and gave a student like me the chance to appreciate the architecture.

It's a distinctive, special building that looks like a residence. You can only see it from outside, so I wouldn't make a special trip for it. But if you're nearby and into architecture, definitely take a look.

I spotted “foresta abitabile” out of the train window on the Milano - Torino route. The trees are already so big and green :) It feels completely out of context, though maybe the ordinary Torino district around it makes the house seem even more unique.

A few weeks ago I visited 25 Verde to film for my next documentary, and had the great pleasure of meeting architect Luciano Pia. It's a stunning idea for an apartment building in the inner city.
