AC Hotel Torino by Marriott

The room was spacious and clean, with a really comfortable bed and linens. The location in the Lingotto area was convenient, with shops and Eataly Restaurant nearby. Breakfast was good, though the food could have been replenished faster. Don’t arrive late for breakfast. I’d stay at the AC Turin Hotel again and recommend it to friends and family.

Getting to the Lingotto center was easy, whether by subway or on foot. The whole team made me feel welcome throughout my stay. At checkout, they helped me find a local optician and looked after my luggage while I went to get my glasses fixed. I’ve forgotten the front desk lady’s name, but I hope she sees this and knows how much she helped me. Thanks as well to Fabio, Betty And Igor on the breakfast team for being so kind each morning. Rabia and Sayda from housekeeping kept my room perfect and greeted me so warmly every day. Thanks so much again :)

The restaurant downstairs has a really good menu, and the bar manager was great. The location worked well too, about a 15-minute Uber ride from Porta Nuova and a short walk to Parco Valentino.

The biggest problem here was the condition of the property. Mosquitoes were everywhere, which I found shocking even coming from tropical Australia, and a sewage-like smell hung around many areas. After spending time there, it seemed to me that the two problems might be connected. Some people in our party barely slept for three nights, and we couldn't move elsewhere. The staff seemed to avoid discussing it, which made the frustration worse. Until these issues are properly dealt with, I can't recommend staying here. The hotel is in a light industrial part of Turin (Torino), about 4 km from the historic center. It's a pleasant walk or a short metro ride to the old town, and the former Fiat Lingotto factory, which is worth seeing, is just two blocks away. Breakfast is fairly standard, but at €22 it's poor value if you're used to a typical included buffet.
