Hotel Torino Porta Susa

The room had a kettle, tea, instant coffee and lactose-free and egg-free cookies. We didn't try the TV, but it was there. It was spacious, clean and cosy, and the bathroom had everything, even toothbrushes, toothpaste and slippers for anyone who hadn't planned to stay overnight or packed everything. Staff were kind and helpful, and they stored our bag safely while we went around the city. Tram 13 takes you to the main attractions. This place deserves much more than one star. It's close to Porta Susa station.

I had an amazing stay. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and this is one of the best-value hotels I've stayed in for years.

The staff were great, and it's close to the train station. The entrance is unusual, up to the second floor in a tiny lift. There was a lot of construction on that floor, and the trams are noisy.

I only needed a bed between a late train arrival and an early departure, and this hotel suited me. It's ideally placed for Porta Susa Railway Station. You enter from street level by going upstairs or taking the lift to Reception. I was travelling alone, so the small room didn't bother me, though the double bed was tucked into a corner and anyone sharing would've had to climb over the other person to get out. The bathroom, at least, was quite spacious. I'd happily stay again because of the station location. One note about breakfast: the hotel doesn't serve it, but has an arrangement with nearby GB Caffetteria that gives guests a 10% discount. I was told it opened at 0630 hrs, as Google also said, but when I got there at 0640 hrs it was very much closed. That's not the hotel's fault, but if you're leaving early, have another breakfast plan.
