The location is a real plus, about a ten-minute walk from Porta Nuova station and only a few minutes from the city center. The owner seems like a very nice, kind lady, and I hate to write this, but there were too many problems. The shared bathroom serves guests in two rooms and the owner, who lives in the building, and it wasn't cleaned properly. It needed more frequent cleaning and was difficult to use because it was almost always occupied, often by the owner. The towels had old stains that never came out and need replacing. The room was noisy, with sounds from the lock and floors, and you could hear everything, so there was no privacy. The front door was faulty, and one night we were locked out for over half an hour. We made many calls to the building without an answer before someone opened it. The building is in very run-down condition and needs renovation before it welcomes guests.

The only real plus was the central location, and the hostess was kind. I stayed four days in a beautiful Art Nouveau building, but the B&B itself was completely run down. The room was huge, though a small, inadequate radiator was its only heat source. The curtains were missing from the windows and kept in the closet, and the parquet was torn up and hidden under a rug. The bathroom was freezing. Most of all, it was shared, something we were only told after we had bought the stay. The location apart, it was absolutely terrible.

The lady was friendly, very nice, and ready to help with anything that came up. Still, the listing wasn't transparent: it didn't mention that she would be in the apartment during our stay, or that there was a pet in the house, which could be a problem for a guest with allergies. There was an unpleasant smell in the apartment, too. I wouldn't recommend staying here, especially as a couple, because there was no privacy or intimacy.

The owner lives in the house, and the room is in a large building opposite the train station with an elevator. The room and bathroom are spacious, though older. The bathroom has a bathtub, is shared with the other room, and contains the owner's belongings. Breakfast at the bakery downstairs is just a drink and a croissant. There are better options.
