Green B&B Urbino Ca Del Vento

The welcome was warm, and the property itself is clean and charming, surrounded by nature. The owner even waited for our 8:15 PM check-in. We stayed two nights at Green B&B Ca' del Vento over a weekend in Urbino. The room was small, but we'd booked the double with a French bed on Booking.com knowing what to expect. What really affected our stay was the mattress, which was extremely hard and uncomfortable. The pillows weren't much better, one too hard and the other too soft. I slept badly and woke up with strong back pain on both mornings. The savory breakfast was freshly made and good, with scrambled eggs, a few slices of prosciutto and cheese, and cherry tomatoes. I had expected a more abundant spread after reading Booking.com reviews. Maybe that's personal perception, but the sweet selection felt limited: the same cakes on both days, a few yogurts, five dry biscuits, two jars of cereal, two small jams, and a honey. It didn't seem especially varied or plentiful to me. Breakfast was also in a kitchen with just one table shared by guests, which I found uncomfortable and short on privacy. The staff were unquestionably friendly, and the place is clean and well cared for. Still, the bed comfort and breakfast didn't seem to match the high rating I saw when booking. I feel bad leaving a low score given the many positive reviews and the kindness we received, but comfort is a separate part of the stay. For two nights in mid-March, we paid €166 plus €10 tourist tax. That didn't feel like a low price, and I expected more comfort, especially when it came to sleeping.

The rooms were spacious and clean, and breakfast was excellent. Maria Grazia welcomed us kindly and gave us all the information we needed. The property sits in the Urbino Valley, only a few minutes by car from the historic center. Congratulations!
