Residenza Ambrogi Luxury

Raffaella gave us a warm welcome and helped arrange our itinerary and dining bookings during our three nights in Urbino. We stayed in the garden suite, a roomy and comfortable space with its own outdoor terrace. It offered plenty of privacy, and the tasteful decor and modern, well-equipped bathroom made it a lovely place to stay. Highly recommended.

The White Room was gorgeous, with a large airy bedroom, a huge shower, and a private terrace with its own seating. We parked on the grounds, and Max and Laura gave us a warm, helpful welcome to the residenzia and Urbino. We only stayed one night, but we’d love to return. A great find, thank you!

The location is the best thing about Residenza Ambroggi Luxury Suites, but our stay felt far from luxurious, especially for the price. The residence charged more than Booking.com, which surprised me since booking direct is usually cheaper. They also charged my card before arrival without telling me, even though I wanted to pay in cash at arrival or departure. Parking was difficult and they charged for it. I was told my SUV was too large for the parking area and that a FIAT panda would suit it better. A FIAT panda would have been uncomfortable for the hundreds of kilometers we drove, though if I lived near Urbino I might have taken my Jazz. The mattress was very uncomfortable, the room was small, the bedside lamp on one side didn’t work, and the shower nozzle was broken and leaking through its tube. Breakfast was packaged croissants, juice bottles, and biscuits left in the room. I understand many places started doing this because of Covid, but prices are still the same as when fresh food, including fruit, was served. The host also pointed out at check-in that the a/c was set to 25 degrees, as if we should leave it there, despite it being over 30 degrees outside. Like another guest said, there’s a lack of luxury here. I can’t recommend it, especially at this price.

A charming little B&B with views across the countryside, set in a park by the entrance to Urbino’s old town. The interior has been styled down to every detail, though sound insulation isn’t perfect. You can park for free in public spaces about 100 meters away. Recommended!
