Francesco made us feel very welcome at "B&B Gennarcu". He was kind, helpful, and happy to offer advice or just chat. The fresh-smelling sheets and spotless bathroom were thoughtful touches, too. The place feels tucked away in the woods, with a quiet, timeless atmosphere. It’s rustic and intimate, with lots of warm wood in the furnishings. A suitcase belonging to my grandfather on the dresser especially stood out to me. It gave the room an authentic, lived-in feeling, almost like staying with family. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return. I highly recommend it.

I’m giving this one star only because zero isn’t an option. We had a terrible stay in the Junior Suite, which cost €150 a night, during the middle of winter. We were there for three days and two nights. There were two radiators, but they were off, and there was no other heating. They only ran from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, then for about an hour from 6:30 AM. The cold at night was unbearable, and even the blankets weren’t enough. We asked the owner to leave the heat on for our second night because we were so cold. He agreed at first, but it was switched off again around midnight, so we spent another night freezing. There were no amenities to speak of. Guests couldn’t bring food into the rooms, which might make sense if there were a shared place to eat. But the village has no pizzerias or restaurants. Highly not recommended.

Our host was friendly, discreet, and ready with suggestions whenever we asked. My husband and I came with some friends for two relaxing days in Ussàssai, and the quiet made it a great place to recharge. We went in August, during record heat in Sardinia, and knew from the description there was no air conditioning for nighttime. We live in southern Sardinia, and were still pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the temperature was. The rooms had a retro look and were very clean, including the sheets and towels. We knew in advance that the bathroom was shared.
