The manager made us feel welcome and was really helpful, and the breakfast was a highlight, with lots of good pastries and cakes. We stayed just outside Florence, with a train into the city only a ten-second walk away. The place is very clean and works well for a short stay, though some of the facilities feel a bit tired. The public-area Wi-Fi was good. Thanks for a lovely short visit. I’d recommend it if you’re exploring the area.

The owners were lovely, and breakfast was spectacular. I especially enjoyed the torta della nonna. It’s an old, rustic hotel, but it was clean, and I’d definitely come back.

The rooms are very basic, so I wouldn’t choose this for a long stay. For sightseeing in Florence on a budget, though, it’s quiet and convenient, and it also works well for hiking in the Mugello region. The railway station for Florence is just 20 meters away. It stayed cool during the scorching summer, and nights were quiet. Breakfast was okay, and pets are allowed. A handy place to stop while traveling through Italy.

We arrived late, stayed the night, and left the next day. That was fine for one night, but I wouldn’t stay longer. It’s a small, old hotel in the middle of nowhere, and the one person handling check-in, checkout, and breakfast didn’t make us feel welcome at all. He really wasn’t pleasant.

I was after some quiet, and that’s exactly what I found. The location was lovely, the hotel peaceful, the food tasty, and the rooms great. The owners were pleasant too. I enjoyed my stay and strongly recommend it to anyone wanting a break from a busy, noisy life.
