Hotel Al Caminetto

The food really stood out. Each evening brought a different five-course dinner, and every meal was better than the previous one. I’ve honestly never had food that good. The hotel is right in the heart of Valtournenche, with the ski bus only about 100 metres away. Our room was cozy, spotless and had everything we needed. Before we arrived, communication was easy, and things went smoothly from beginning to end. Nicola and all the staff were kind, welcoming and always glad to help. They made us feel at home, and the hotel has a warm atmosphere you have to experience for yourself. We had an amazing stay at Hotel Al Caminetto, and would definitely recommend it. We’ll be back in the future.

A fantastic family hotel with friendly staff and very good service. Breakfast and dinner on the half-board plan were both tasty, and the value for money was great. The free bus is a 100-metre walk away and gets you to the ski area in five minutes. Highly recommended.

The restaurant food was lovely, although the servings were very small. The grounds are beautiful, and the building looks great when you arrive. Check-in staff were helpful, but the process was slow. The lobby is beautifully decorated, while the corridors towards the rooms feel dated and need a revamp. Our room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable, but there were no plugs beside it. I spotted a friendly grey cat by the lobby doors as I was leaving.
