What stood out most was the grotto with its hot tub, a real plus that made us rate the place so highly. The property was clean, well maintained, and had lots of comforts. It sits in an enchanting courtyard in the historic center of a lovely village. The owners were very kind and helpful with check-in information, and communication was excellent. Our stay at Ortaccio Relais was a pleasant surprise.

We chose Ortaccio Relais & Private SPA in Vasanello for our 20th wedding anniversary, and it turned out to be an incredible stay. The apartment was thoughtfully furnished and had all the comforts we could ask for. Our favorite part was the private hot tub in a cave inside the apartment. It felt like our own little paradise and made the experience even more unique and relaxing, with a touch of magic in a romantic setting. Paolo was so hospitable and helpful, and even brought us delicious baked goods he’d made himself for breakfast. He runs a bakery in the town center with his wife, and it’s a must for anyone who loves fresh bread and pastries. Paolo was there for every request and made us feel at home. The online payment and checkout made the stay completely independent. Self check-in was easy too, and getting in with the smart lock code was convenient. The property is spacious and has all the amenities, including a kitchen, heating, and air conditioning. It’s in the historic center of Vasanello, about a five-minute walk from free multi-story parking. I especially liked the hot tub and where it’s located. It’s a shame the sauna was temporarily unavailable. Breakfast was good, especially the excellent cookies from the owner’s bakery. This will definitely be a reference point.

A lovely spa area, and the hot tub worked perfectly. We skipped the sauna since it was August. The owners were so kind that they kept both the cake they’d baked in the fridge and the spa area secret as a surprise, and it really was one. A perfect romantic getaway just a few kilometers from Rome.
