Borgo di Pratavecchie

I paid a €300 deposit for my September 2025 stay at Pratavecchie, then had to cancel two months ahead. The accommodation still refused to return the money. I hadn't received a written booking confirmation or clear terms saying the deposit was non-refundable. I find that very unfair and not transparent. Travelers should know they could lose their money even when cancelling well in advance, without having been given clear information. I can't recommend this place.

We enjoyed the peaceful, relaxing self-catering accommodation and lovely pool, where there were always seats and sunbeds available. Bikes can be hired for free, and it's a five-minute ride to the local shop. Breakfast can be booked in advance for €8 a day. Getting a taxi to Pisa costs €35, though having a hire car is much more convenient and necessary. One downside: there's no bar or way to get a drink on site. Even a vending machine near the pool would have been a good addition.

We'd love to come back. The apartments are beautiful, staff are very friendly, and the quiet location is handy for Pisa airport, Pisa centre, and Lucca. It's a great place for a longer stay, and breakfast is a must-do. Thank you, Lucia, for a wonderful stay. 🙏

We stayed for a week and had plenty of space and privacy. The apartments were clean, the beds comfortable, and the staff friendly. Since we were travelling light, I expected the basic kitchen and bathroom utensils and amenities to be better supplied. That was the one thing missing.
