The rooms smell bad, are very old, and the noise from outside is unbearable. You check in at another hotel 30 meters away, where they also serve breakfast very late. At least it's nice to wander the streets early in the heat.

Street noise was the biggest problem for sleeping. It went on late and started again early, although there was little to no noise from inside the hotel. The room was clean and had the essential facilities, plus good Wi-Fi. It was a bit small, but the high ceilings made it feel fairly spacious. The decor looked tired, with quite marked walls that could use a lick of paint. It's a basic but adequate budget hotel, as you'd expect from a two-star place. Check-in is at a different hotel a little farther down the street, and the staff there were welcoming and helpful. For transport, the bus and train stations are both nearby, as is the vaporetto for other attractions.

The only plus for me is that the hotel is pet friendly. The lobby feels like a horror hotel, and check-in means going to another hotel's lobby before returning here. Breakfast is served at that other hotel too. The hotel isn't especially charming, and most of the interior is old. Only the corridors and staircases have been renovated.

The staff were very nice and supportive. I stayed one night by myself in a fairly large room with two beds, but it was very old and those pictures on the walls scared me. I have no idea why they chose that artwork for the Hotel room. The atmosphere made for a really horrible stay in Venice.
