Maracaibo

We just got home after five nights, and the stay was exactly the quiet, pretty place we wanted for a bit of rest. My favorite spot was the green area beneath the pines, though the beach was excellent too. The garden, gorgeous pool area, and beach make it easy to have everything in one place. It's not very cheap, but you get what you pay for. The staff were friendly, and I could see how much work they put in each day, starting very early. Breakfast was very good and the coffee excellent. We only ate dinner there twice, but the food was varied and so tasty that it's worth dining there every evening. The shower was a little small, just a note for others rather than a complaint. One suggestion: it would be useful to have somewhere to dry clothes on the balcony. I imagine guests don't want to take their bathing suits to the laundry room every day. Apart from that, everything was perfect for us.

The Economy room was really tiny. It was mostly fine for two, but with a child you'd need a bigger room. Dinner also starts at 19:30, and our son, along with some other kids, was getting tired before it even got going. For adults that timing probably isn't a problem. Even so, we had an amazing stay. The beachfront setting, pools, food, and service were all great.

This is not a family friendly hotel. We were five minutes late for dinner and didn't get the meal we'd paid for. When I complained, the manager got right in my face, screamed that I was "ZERO" and threatened me. My kids ended up hungry. The whole place is a joke, and you either have a parking space or you don't.

A nice, smaller, more traditional hotel with great amenities, including a swimming pool, private beach, and bar. The reception staff were friendly.
