Marina Palac

Breakfast on the first floor came with a lovely view of the sea, and the service was prompt and kind. There was a good range of sweet and savory buffet options. The weather wasn’t on our side, but the hotel still had plenty to offer. It’s a beautiful, recently renovated beachfront property with striking sea views. Our room was clean and had a balcony with floor-to-ceiling windows, Wi-Fi, TV, a refrigerator, and the usual comforts. Best of all, the bathroom finally had a large, spacious shower. I’ve added this hotel to my favorites for the area and will look it up next time I’m here for work or a holiday. I’d happily stay again.

The takeaway pizza was cold and completely unacceptable when I finally got it. I was told it would take five minutes, but it took 25, and the order was wrong even after the waitress, who seemed to be the assistant manager, checked it. She realized the mistake and searched for my pizza, finding it five minutes later. There was no apology or sign of regret, just a take-it-or-leave-it attitude. I tried to stay calm, but this was a shameful experience at Marina Palace.

The rooms were spacious and clean, and very close to the beach. Our friends had arrived the night before us and urged us to cancel breakfast and dinner after a bad buffet experience, so we spoke with the front desk and the meals were removed from our reservation. When we were leaving, we argued with the manager at the desk. She was nearly rude and acted as if she knew nothing about the cancellation, even though she was the person we had spoken to when we arrived. For a four-star hotel, the food and service should be better, and the staff could be friendlier.

The buffet is too small for the number of people, so some guests miss out on food. The coffee cups are chipped and the tables aren’t always set. Still, the kids are happy, and that makes the holiday great. It’s a very good place for a relaxing break with children.
