It was just what I expected for the price. Clean, a bit small but not unusually so for Venice, and in a reasonably quiet area within walking distance of most main attractions. The staff were very accommodating. I was also lucky to leave my luggage there safely after checkout and pick it up before heading to the airport.

Cannaregio is an amazing area, with a feel for local life and, to me, the best place to eat in Venice. We'll be back next summer. The price for the quality was the best in town, and it was what we expected. They accepted our dog without any issue. Breakfast was okay, though the coffee was really good. We knew what to expect before arriving, and it worked for us for the price. The staff were very friendly and don't speak English, which made for perfect Italian immersion.

Maria, the owner, can't speak a word of English, but she's the most helpful and gracious host you could find. The rooms are cute, clean, and quiet, and the main areas are only a minute or so away on foot. A lovely little place to stay, small and quaint.

The landlord and landlady were lovely, though they speak little to no English, and the location is nice. Just note that you need to be in by 11 p.m., so there are no late outings. Breakfast won't fill you up, but free Wi-Fi is available. There’s a newsagent on one corner, a wine shop on the other, and a superb bakery a few doors up, with really lovely little bars just seconds away. You can easily walk to the Rialto Bridge and St Marks Square.
