Antica Raffineria

We had everything we needed here. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Amazing hotel, 10/10, would recommend.

The room had the facilities we needed and was fairly clean, just as described. The receptionist and other workers were very nice. There are good restaurants, bars, and cafes nearby, though most attractions are a fairly long walk, around 25 minutes. The room got a bit stuffy, but opening the window in the evening didn't seem wise with so many bugs around. On arrival, the entrance was hard to spot because it's tucked into a courtyard. Ring the doorbell and they'll let you in. We had a good stay.

Cannaregio was a wonderful place to stay, with restaurants along the canals and a real Italian charm. I'm very glad we chose it and this hotel. Our apartment was reached through a courtyard, and our lovely, quiet room on the second floor looked out over the rooftops. It had everything we needed, including tea, coffee, milk for coffee, and a fridge. There was also a shared kitchen next door with dishes and a microwave. The room was cleaned and tidied every day, and even our dishes were washed. Our wonderful host and her son gave us lots of tips for Venice, including where to hire a gondola. 10 out of 10, I recommend it to everyone.

The hotel is walkable from the train station, in the area of the former Jewish ghetto. We liked the charming place and its lovely staff. There are bars and restaurants on the street, but our windows faced the other way, so nights were quiet. We got in late and had clear directions for finding the hotel and room, plus keys and codes so we could let ourselves in. The main downsides were the fairly loud air conditioning and no breakfast included. Luckily, a good cafe very close by, I think it was Bacaro ae bricoe, had excellent croissants.
